Bankstown Sports takes the issue of responsible gaming very seriously and is continually looking for ways to ensure members and guests are safe, supported, and remain within their limits.
We have a wide range of responsible gaming practices across all six venues, including Multi-Venue Self-Exclusion, Voluntary Pre-Commitment, access to counselling and support services, welfare check procedures and comprehensive staff training.
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) helps control the negative impact that alcohol has on our community. RSA has been part of the NSW Liquor Laws for more than 100 years.
RSA currently deals with:
Minor accessing restricted areas
Alcohol-related violence and crime
Drunk and disorderly patrons
Noise disturbance
To comply with RSA laws, licensees and venue staff must:
Recognise the signs of impending intoxication
Not serve anyone who shows these signs
Not serve anyone who arrives already intoxicated
Understand the principles of ‘standard drinks’ and drink driving levels
Discourage patrons from actions that can harm themselves or others
Understand the impact of alcohol on our community

Bankstown Sports takes problem gambling seriously and has always been proactive in this regard, promoting Gambling Help services throughout the club and online.
Voluntary pre-commitment allows individuals to gamble within their means. If they are concerned about their gambling, they can set a limit for themselves on their member card before they play the gaming machines. Once the pre-determined limit is reached, the player will be alerted by the player console and a message sent to the manager who will attend to the machine to determine the necessary action required.
The scheme gives the player the ability to keep track of their daily, weekly and monthly gaming spend and there are options available, such as: exclusion from gaming promotions for 24 hours once a pre-set limit has been reached; cooling off periods for increasing limits and real-time implementation of reduced limits at the player’s request.
To participate in voluntary pre-commitment, please see one of our Operational Support Managers or Venue Managers and they will assist.
If you want to talk to someone who can help with information, counselling and referral, call Gambling Help 1800 858 858. Gambling Help Line counsellors are available at any time, 24 hours a day.
